NASA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer will host an agency town hall meeting at NASA Headquarters on Friday, September 16, from 1:00 – 2:30 PM EDT, to provide an update on the NASA I3P (IT Infrastructure Integration Program). The live broadcast will raise awareness about I3P and bring service executives and vendors together in one room to discuss the program. Experts will be able to provide answers to questions in “real time,” address concerns from the centers, and provide an overall status of the I3P implementation. This is a high-profile, agency-wide initiative that affects every employee who uses IT services. The panel expects to answer questions about the transition schedule, what I3P means for the technical community, changes at each center, and general I3P concerns from end-users.

The program will be broadcast live from the NASA Headquarters auditorium and carried on NASA internal television channels. Employees will be able to ask questions from Headquarters and participating NASA centers.

I3P will transform NASA’s IT Infrastructure services from a center-based model to an enterprise-based management and provisioning model. It is a significant agency-wide IT transformation program and is specifically designed to better enable NASA’s missions, improve IT security, gain productivity efficiencies, and improve the agency’s purchasing power.
