Pursuant to the November 8, 2008 Memorandum of Understanding Regarding Transition Procedures, Identification of Transition Contacts, and Access to Non-Public Government and Transition information (MOU), and the accompanying Policy Statement Concerning Identification of Transition Contacts and Information Disclosure to Transition Personnel, the following individuals are authorized by the President-elect’s Transition Team to work with NASA :

Lori Garver
Roderic Young

Please note that section II of the policy statement requires that all “official transition points of contact designated by each Department and Agency will serve as the points of contact for providing other contacts, information, and services to authorized members of the PETT (president-elect’s transition team). Accordingly, any meetings between Administration personnel and PETT members must be authorized by the contacts for the relevant Department or Agency, and any materials that may be provided to PETT members must be authorized by those contacts.”

The official transition points of contact for NASA are Phil McAlister and Mike Hawes.
