NASA HQ HEALTH FAIR

Thursday, May 8, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Multipurpose Room (CG61).
Sponsored by the Health Unit, Fitness Center, and Employee
Assistance Program. Participating organizations will provide
health-related information and services (such as screenings and
consultations). Topics include spinal health, blood pressure,
massage, lung capacity, and more! This event is free for NASA

EXCHANGE COUNCIL BOOK FAIR

May 8, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., west lobby. “Books are Fun” is featuring
books, gifts, children’s items, seasonal merchandise, music,

DINE AT THE COLUMBIA CAFE

The Columbia Cafe now has a Web site (http://columbiacafe.hq.nasa.gov)
featuring weekly menus and daily specials. A light breakfast service
is available from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Lunch is served between the hours
of 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The Columbia Cafe is located on the
9th floor in 9G41.


“PRESIDENT’S MANAGEMENT AGENDA – NASA PERSPECTIVE”

Thursday, May 22, reception 5:30, dinner 6:15 p.m., and program 7
p.m., University of Maryland Inn and Conference Center. Join the
American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) for a
program featuring a panel of NASA’s top officials discussing
NASA’s approach and performance in meeting the President’s
Management Agenda. The Master of Ceremonies will be Al Diaz,
Director, Goddard Space Flight Center. Panelists include Scott
Pace, NASA Deputy Chief of Staff; Vicki Novak, Assistant

HEADQUARTERS LIBRARY MODERNIZATION

The Office of Headquarters Operations is considering a number of
options to modernize HQ library services. Ideas include a shift
from paper publications to on-line databases, more telephone
based interaction between NASA staff and patrons, and use of
scanned materials. The Library is a valuable resource that will
retain its unique collection of material under all proposed
modernization scenarios. Any comments or suggestions regarding
modernizing the HQ Library can be directed to Ron Hoffman at
358-1596.


“NACA REUNION X” PLANNED
