Description

 

NASA/GSFC has a requirement for comprehensive support for the NASA History of Winter (HOW)Program, February 15 – 21, 2015. The support will provide the following:

 

(1)General support of all on duty school staff. (2)Equipment for winter outdoor research. (3)24/7 access to facilities, emergency communications and access to Northwood Staff.

 

NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Northwood School, Lake Placid, NY, pursuant to Far 13.106 for the acquisition of supplies or services determine to be reasonably available from one source. Northwood School’s facility and location are unique and facilitate the success of the History of Winter Program.

 

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.

 

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities statement to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 2:30 p.m. local time on December 1, 2014. Such statements will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.

 

Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.

 

All responsible sources may submit an statement which shall be considered by the agency.
