Description
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is announcing a NASA Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Industry Day, hosted by Glenn Research Center (GRC) on June 19, 2012, at Ohio Aerospace Institute, 22800 Cedar Point Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44142, from 7:30am-1:30pm. All businesses are invited to attend this NASA-wide event, especially HUBZone small businesses. This is a free event. Your company does not have to be in a HUBZone, or SBA Certified HUBZone business, for you to attend. We will have topics of interest to all small businesses. Speakers from NASA, Small Business Administration (SBA), General Services Administration (GSA), and Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTACs) will cover topics such as HUBZones, PTAC services, SBA loan program/SBA Surety Bond Program, Federal Supply Schedules, Government Contracting, Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technical Transfer (STTR) Program, Technology Transfer/Space Act Agreements, and GRC Construction Projects. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in 15 minute one-on-one matchmaking sessions with NASA Small Business Specialists from every center, GRC Upcoming Major Procurements team members, and GRC contractors. Personnel from NASA Office of Small Business Programs, SBA, PTAC, GSA, Solutions for Enterprise Wide Procurement (SEWP, a NASA Information Technology hardware and software contract), GRC Small Business Technical Coordinators, GRC contractors, and GRC Upcoming Major Procurements (technical and procurement personnel) will staff exhibit tables (no appointment necessary; first come, first served) to discuss opportunities with small businesses.
Deadline for registration to attend event and one-on-one matchmaking sessions is June 8, 2012 SBA Certified HUBZone businesses will be given priority for registration and one-on-one matchmaking sessions.
