Description

NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center is seeking capabilities from small, small disadvantaged and women-owned small businesses for the purposes of determining the appropriate level of competition and/or small business subcontracting goals for this procurement.

The Exploration Sciences Building is located in the center of the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD and is a 262,500 gross square feet new building, which is a four story office and three story laboratory building. The building includes electronic, chemistry, cryrogenic, and computer labs and is a concrete framed structure with brick, glass, and metal siding facade. Building includes all major electrical and mechanical systems. Included in the building are site utilities, chilled water, steam, domestic water, sanitary sewer, and electric, communications, and site/storm drainage. Clearing and grubbing of project site. Constructing of parking and associated site work. Building is designed as U.S.Green Building Counsel (USGBC) LEED Silver. Optional items include: Provide new road, the Loop Road, intersecting existing Explorer Road west of the building 31 Power Plant, connecting to Tiros Road, and northeast of Building 29 and demolition of Buildings 27B, 27C, 27F and 27G.

Project does not include final outfitting such as furniture, laboratory casework, moving expenses, telephones or communication equipment, and other related outfitting expenses.

Responses must include the following: Name and address of firm; size of business; average annual revenue for past 3 years and number of employees; ownership; whether they are small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), HUBZone, and/or woman-owned; number of years in business; history; list of clients (highlight relevant work performed, contract numbers, contract type, dollar value of each procurement; and point of contact – address and phone number).

This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. Respondents deemed fully qualified will be considered in any resultant solicitation for the requirement.
