Description

NASA/GRC has a requirement for follow-on Leadership Training sessions which will take place for key leaders and potential leaders from a variety of areas of our Center. This continued training will take place over the next eighteen (18) months.

NASA/GRC intends to purchase this training from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management, 10900 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH.

Our Center has identified specific discrete areas for development and we have begun the process of creating an internal “Leadership University”. These next sessions will be follow on courses to the first one held in July 2010.

Case Western Reserve has the curriculum for the requested areas already developed and will not require significant time or resources for development or customization. During our first session, their faculty gained great insight in the Leadership University Program, its participants, and the NASA GRC organization. This information puts them in a unique position to provide the continued training.

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.

The Sole Source is under the authority of FAR Reference 13.106-1(b)1.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on January 7, 2010. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.

Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.

NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable. The installation Ombudsman is Kirk Seablom. He can be reached via email at kirk.d.seablom@nasa.gov.
