Description

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Innovative Partnerships Program (IPP) of the Exploration Systems Mission Directorate (ESMD) will present to industry an overview of upcoming acquisition activities related to the implementation of the Vision for Space Exploration. The objective of this forum is to provide industry and academia with details about the Technology Transfer Transformation procurement to include the following:

1. Provide a clear understanding of the objectives, requirements, and products to be acquired through the contemplated TTT competitive procurement.    

2. Provide an overview of the draft TTT Statement of Work (SOW) to be posted on the ESMD website in late April 2005.

3. Allow prospective offerors an opportunity to provide comments or pose questions to the ESMD TTT project team regarding the contemplated acquisition.    

The NASA/Industry meeting will be conducted on Monday, May 9, 2005 at the NASA Headquarters Auditorium, 300 E Street SW, Washington D.C. from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. EDT.    

The presentations will be unclassified.    

REGISTRATION:    

PRE-REGISTRATION    

Due to limited seating, individuals who plan to attend the NASA/Industry Meeting are REQUIRED to pre-register. All participants will be required to show photo identification upon arrival and will be subject to personal inspection. Attendees should respond to Derek Wang via email at derek.wang-1@nasa.gov by Thursday, May 5, 2005. Please provide your full name/title, company or affiliation, phone number and email address. If special assistance is required, please provide notification with pre-registration information. To accommodate all interested firms, NASA requests that each company business unit or division limit the number of attendees to three (3) people. The information that you provide for registration will also be compiled into a list that will be distributed to all participants. Please notify us if you do not want your registration information disseminated during your registration process. The deadline for pre-registration is Thursday May 5, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. EDT.

NON-U.S. CITIZENS    

Foreign national attendees (i.e., non-U.S. citizens) are REQUIRED to pre-register and submit their passport number with their pre-registration email.    

SECURITY    

Event attendees will be required to present a valid form of government identification. Participants will be subject to personal inspection (e.g., passing through a metal detector), prior to entering the auditorium.

Driving Parking lots are located nearby the NASA Headquarters building. Check the local yellow pages or internet for exact locations. Metro Metro stops nearest NASA Headquarters are L’Enfant Plaza (orange, blue, yellow, and green lines) and Federal Center SW (orange and blue lines).    

From L’Enfant Plaza station, take the Department of Transportation exit and turn left at the top of the escalators. Head east (on School St. or E St. SW) and south (on 4th or 6th St. SW) to arrive at the west entrance of the NASA building near the corner of E St. SW and 4th St. SW.    

From the exit of the Federal Center SW metro station, head south on 3rd St. SW and then west on E St. SW to arrive at the west entrance of the NASA building near the corner of E St. SW and 4th St. SW.
