Description

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)/Goddard Space Flight Center is releasing a Draft Cooperative Agreement Notice (CAN) No. NNG10331134C for the Establishment of Centers of Excellence in the Solar-Heliospheric and Solar-Planetary sciences. The primary focus is the establishment of centers of excellence for collaborative research in Solar-Heliospheric and Solar-Planetary sciences between NASA, and Educational, or Not for Profit Science organizations, and Non-profits with 501 (c) (3) status, other than institutions of higher education.

The potential sources are encouraged to submit questions or comments on or before September 10, 2010, via email to the point of contact designated below. Additionally, you are further encouraged to submit questions or comments as they arise, in lieu of submitting them on the last day. The schedule for the review and selection of proposals for this CAN is as follows: Final CAN Issuance, Fall 2010, Proposals due +60 days, Award announcement/Agreement signed, First Quarter CY 2011. Dates are tentative- will be finalized upon issuance of final CAN)

Additionally, potential sources are advised that the intent of this solicitation is to award up to two Cooperative Agreement(s) as stated in the Draft CAN.

The Government intends to limit the eligibility of potential offerors for this can to educational institutions, not-for profit, and nonprofit organizations shall submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.

Notwithstanding the posting of this opportunity at FedBizOpps.gov, Grants.gov, or at both sites, NASA reserves the right to determine the appropriate award instrument for each proposal selected pursuant to this announcement.
