Description

NASA/KSC is releasing a draft Request for Proposal (dRFP) for the Commercial Crew Transportation Capability contract (CCtCap). Previous releases regarding the CCtCap were (1) RFI: NNK13ZOP001L (Jan, 2013), (2) Industry Touch Point: NNK13ZOP002L (March, 2013) and (3) Sources Sought Notice: NNK14467515L (March, 2013).

The CCtCap contract is the second phase of a two-phased procurement strategy to develop a U.S. commercial crew space transportation capability to achieve safe, reliable and cost effective access to and from the International Space Station (ISS) with a goal of no later than 2017.

The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This procurement is a full and open competition. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 336414 and 1000 employees, respectively.

The dRFP is not a solicitation and the Government is not requesting proposals. This presolicitation synopsis is for planning and information purposes only. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for any information solicited.

The draft solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
