NASA Cassini Significant Events for 09/11/03 – 09/17/03

The most recent spacecraft telemetry was acquired from the Madrid
tracking station on Wednesday, September 17. The Cassini spacecraft is
in an excellent state of health and is operating normally. Information
on the present position and speed of the Cassini spacecraft may be
found on the "Present Position" web page located at
http://saturn.jpl.nasa.gov/operations/present-position.cfm .


On-board activities this week included uplink of a Magnetospheric
Imaging Instrument flight software mini sequence and flight software
checkout, a Radio Science Subsystem (RSS) Ultrastable Oscillator test,
RSS Periodic Instrument Maintenance, boresight calibration, pattern
calibration, and quiet test, and a probe checkout.


Delivery Coordination Meetings were held for E-Kernel generation
software, Mission Sequence Subsystem D9.1.1, and the electronic command
request form V1.0.


Official port 2 delivery was completed as part of the Science Operations
Plan implementation process for tour sequences S01, S02, S03, and S04.


A kickoff meeting was held for the Science Planning Team process for
cruise sequence C43.
