Description

NASA Headquarters, Office of Education, has the opportunity to partner with the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Conference in order to involve the educational community in our endeavors to inspire America’s students, create learning opportunities, enlighten inquisitive minds, and promote awareness of NASA-related disciplines. As part of the sponsorship, NASA will be a major participant in the CIAA Career Fair and contribute to the general academic scholarship fund.

Therefore, NASA Headquarters intends to issue a Sole Source Procurement to the CIAA as a corporate sponsorship for the CIAA Conference – Career Fair and General Academic Scholarship Fund.

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12, and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. The authority is only one responsible source 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1).

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing, by FAX or E-Mail, to the identified point of contact not later than 2:00 p.m. local time on January 30, 2006. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
