SCIENCE TALK ’22:
Call for Proposals!
SCIENCE TALK ’22 IS now accepting proposals for speaking opportunities at the annual conference, both in-person and online from Wednesday, March 23, through Friday, March 25, 2022.
SCIENCE TALK ’22 is being planned as a hybrid conference to take place both in person in Portland, Oregon, and with real-time online participation for speakers and attendees also available.

The proposal application deadline is Friday, October 1, 2021.
SPEAKING OPPORTUNITIES
There are three types of speaking opportunities at SCIENCE TALK ’22: Short Presentation, Panel, and Workshop. There will be a separate registration form for each type of proposal. Please visit this page starting September 1 for links to the registration forms.
​SHORT PRESENTATION
Session time: 20 minutes total
Maximum number of speakers: 2 individuals
Short Presentation speakers will receive 1 full-price registration that can be split with second presenter, if applicable.
PANEL
Session time: 45 minutes speaking, 5 minutes moderated Q&A
Number of speakers: Minimum 3, Maximum 4 individuals
This proposal must include at least two prospective panelists (yourself plus one other). We will work with you to identify and recruit other panelists, if needed.
WORKSHOP
Session time: 60 minutes
Number of speakers: 1 or more individuals
Presenters should plan to offer their workshops either all in-person, or all online
Workshops must be as interactive as possible
Audience: Minimum 20, Maximum 100
