Description

NASA/ARC has a requirement for detailed training that requires two (2) training courses as part of a comprehensive program of strategic business development in accordance with FAR Part 12. NASA/ARC intends to purchase this training from Lore International Institute, Inc. on a sole source basis. Lore International Institute, Inc. is considered an expert in providing presentation training skills for executives and in training executives in capturing better business strategies, and has familiarity with the NASA concept and terminology applied in Phase I.

The first workshop held last year in 2006 provided information on proposal writing. As a follow on to this course, NASA plans on acquiring classes for executives on winning presentations that will capture elements brought forth from Phase I. To bring on a new vendor for Phase II, the following requirements must be met:

a) Be familiar with terminology applied in Phase I

b) Be familiar with the NASA concept used in Phase I

c) Know how proposals sent to NASA Headquarters are rated

d) Be familiar with writing a successful proposal for the NASA Mission Directorates. The vendor must provide 2 training courses as part of a comprehensive program of strategic business development.

The training shall:

Provide a class of no more than 2 days for up to 16 executive participants, with some presentation experience, on how to build presentations that differentiate Ames unique capabilities from those of other NASA Centers. Provide a training class of no more than three days for up to 12 participants on learning the tactics of capture planning, identifying Ames competitive advantage, and assuring Ames understands the key issues of NASA Mission Directorates. Provide all resource/reference material. Both classes should be held no later than August, 2007. Have prior experience conducting workshops to NASA Ames Research Center, or other NASA Centers and have familiarity with NASA terminology. Have received favorable satisfaction ratings from attendees. Be recognized as an expert presentation trainer for new business opportunities and strategic business development. Complete training by August 30, 2007. Include all travel costs detailed in quote (plane fare, hotel, rental car/ground transportation, per diem etc).

This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred) no later than May 18, 2007. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9.
