Three innovations under this contract will address the challenge of developing future space systems via fractionated architectures wherein wirelessly networked modules communicate, collaborate and share resources to accomplish the mission. The work being conducted under this contract addresses cluster flight and will investigate how to design GN&C systems that are service-based and are part of a fractioned space system. Under this contract Emergent will develop a fractionated architecture and algorithms that reliably and accurately estimate relative PVT for an indefinite number of satellites by accepting a variable number of measurement types, rates, and accuracies and develop a framework and the algorithms capable of implementing the constraints and objectives for all F6 cluster flight maneuver planning use cases. This work will also implement algorithm scalability with changing cluster processing resources and competing cluster flight maneuver planning priorities.
