Description

NASA Ames Research Center has awarded a Firm Fixed Price contract for research and development of disaggregated or fractionated space architectures. The goal is to develop a design for software and hardware for a satellite system that uses a cluster of wirelessly interconnected modules capable of sharing their resources and utilizing resources found elsewhere in the cluster. The contractor will measure the value of a Fractionated Space System and determine when and with what design and architecture would be most beneficial, and, contractor will develop a framework for distributing the functionality and components among different modules in a fractionated spacecraft.
