SUBJECT: Building Surveys for Damage from this Weekends Air Show
During the on-site air show event this weekend, a blast demonstration
shattered several windows in building 158. Because of this there is a
concern that additional damage may have occurred in other buildings to
windows and government property. For safety and reporting issues, if you
suspect any damage may have occurred to any windows or other government
property within your building specifically due to this weekends event,
follow the processes cited below in determining how to report your
incident:
If you discover any damage in your facility that is an immediate safety
issue: Immediately vacate and secure the surrounding areas and contact
the Ames Trouble Desk at extension 4-5212. Follow up by notifying your
building Facility Service Manager (FSM).
If you discover any damage in your facility that is not a direct safety
issue: Report the incident directly to your building FSM for further
evaluation and follow-on reporting to the Ames Trouble Desk.
Except for immediate safety incidents called-in directly by individuals,
all building FSMs are requested to investigate each damage report before
calling them into the Ames Trouble Desk. When calling-in incidents,
advise the Trouble Desk whether you suspect the damage may have occurred
this weekend, or prior to this weekend. This will aid Center management
in tracking the damages that occurred as a result of the event, from
those that did not.
If you do not know who your building FSM is, refer to the Facilities
Planning Office website address
