SUBJECT: Phishing Emails offering tickets to the shuttle launch

You received an e-mail that suggested you had received a ticket to the Shuttle launch. This was part of our Center penetration testing. We sincerely apologize for any distress our IT Security testing may have caused. It is a fine line to walk between adequately testing our security practices with real-world scenarios and treating our fellow employees with the respect and collegiality that our ARC environment demands. In this case, we have overstepped that line.

At this time, this penetration test has been terminated. Please accept our genuine apologies for our inappropriate email.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact the IT Support Center at (650) 604-2000 or mailto:arc-help@mail.nasa.gov
