New Special Assistant to the Center Director

The rapid changes in workforce alignment and program assignments require us to adapt quickly to the new expectations being placed on the Center. As a result, I have asked Marv (Chris) Christensen, of Lockheed Martin, to come aboard as a Special Assistant to the Center Director starting September 19. Chris brings a wealth of experience in all aspects of management. In his 40 years in the aerospace business, he has worked at NASA Headquarters, JPL, NASA Centers and aerospace industry. Chris is particularly knowledgeable about program and project management, an area in which we must quickly renew our skills. In addition, he has been through workforce transitions of the type we are facing and has acquired many lessons learned. I believe Chris can do much to help Ames navigate its way through these turbulent times. Although many of you already know Chris, please welcome him in his new role.
