Subject: Hangar 1 Briefings
From: Centerwide Announcement
Date: Thursday, January 14, 2010
TO: Resident Staff
FROM: Deborah L. Feng, Director, Center Operations
SUBJECT: Hangar 1 Briefings
In late 2009, the Navy formally awarded a contract to clean the interior of Hangar 1, remove the contaminated siding and coat the steel frame with a protective sealant. The Navy and its contractors have since developed a work plan for the removal action.
The Navy and its contractor team have arranged to brief NASA Ames personnel on the Navy’s work plan:
– Thursday, January 21, 2010
– 9:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-3 p.m.
– Building 3, Showroom
Each briefing will begin with an informational open house poster session, which will be followed by a formal presentation and end with Q&A. At each briefing, NASA Center personnel can:
– Learn how the removal action will be completed and over what timeframe
– Ask questions about construction impacts
– Talk with project team members
