SUBJECT: Airship’s Historic Return to Moffett Field

The buzz of a Zeppelin airship coming to Moffett Federal Airfield is true! The arrival of Airship Venture’s Zeppelin NT airship is scheduled for this weekend, October 25 – 26, 2008. The exact arrival date and time are subject to weather and the unpredictable winds that blow across the Central Valley.

Although employees are not allowed on the airfield upon the Zeppelin’s arrival, you’ll be able to see the airship up close at the celebration of Moffett Field’s Diamond Jubilee & Airship Dedication on November 21, 2008. More information on this exciting event will be forthcoming.

About Airship Ventures: Airship Ventures is a NASA Research Park (NRP) tenant that purchased Germany-based Zeppelin NT’s fourth airship. Airship Ventures will use the airship for corporate flight-seeing tours, advertising operations, and scientific missions. They are leasing 24,000 square feet of Hangar 2 for maintenance and storage of the airship, in addition to, leasing the first floor of historic Bldg. 20 for their corporate offices.
