DARPA System F6, Technical Area 2. Space Micro and its partners propose a project entitled “Satellite Interoperability for Microwave Access (SiMAX) Inter-Module Cluster Communication System,” which proposes to develop a multi-tone, spread spectrum wireless communication waveform programmed into a satellite-grade reconfigurable transceiver providing very high speed “wireless LAN” style communications.
