Employees and contractors within the NASA firewall may register for NA&SD (see below) to obtain access to the The NASA Aeronautics and Space Database (NA&SD) is still online and accessible from within NASA.The NA&SD contains more than four million citations and abstracts and more than 500,000 full-text, searchable documents. As opposed to NTRS,NA&SD is available only through authenticated access to vetted NASA users and contains additional information including limited and restricted content. Employees who are used to relying on NTRS (which is currently unavailable) may want to obtain access to NA&SD where they can find all of the information contained within NTRS, plus quite a bit more. The tradeoff is that the access to the additional content in NA&SD comes with limitations on how the information can be used and shared, consistent with existing export control regulations and laws.

Additional information about the NASA STI program can be found at http://sti.nasa.gov/ including contacts to obtain additional support. To request access to NA&SD (every registrant must be a U.S. citizen or a U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident), visit https://idmax.nasa.gov , login and add the NA&SD as an application:

Click ‘Access Management’

Click ‘Request or Modify Application Account’ Select the ‘Applications’
