SUBJECT: SPECIAL NOTICE – Organizational Changes at Ames
Research Center

In an effort to begin orienting Ames Research Center more
closely with NASA Headquarters and the NASA transformation,
the following organizational title changes are effective
immediately.

The title of the Aerospace Directorate (Code A) is now the
Aeronautics Directorate (Code A).

The title of the Information Sciences and Technology
Directorate (former Code I) is now the Exploration
Technology Directorate (Code T). Division and Branch
offices of the former Information Sciences and Technology
Directorate will continue to be a part of the Exploration
Technology Directorate. New organizational codes for the
Division and Branch offices are as follows:

Computational Sciences Division (Code TC)

Human Factors Research and Technology Division (Code TH)

Human Information Processing Research Branch (Code THH)

Human Automation Integration Research Branch (Code THI)

Systems Safety Research Branch (Code THS)

NASA Advanced Supercomputing Division (Code TN)

Applications Branch (Code TNA)

Engineering Branch (Code TNE)

Research Branch (Code TNR)

The title of the Astrobiology and Space Research Directorate (Code S) is now the Science Directorate (Code S).

In addition to the organization title and code changes
listed above, the Equal Opportunity Programs Office has
been transferred to the Center Operations Directorate. The
organizational code for the Equal Opportunity Programs
Office is now Code JE.

All e-mail addresses and mail stops for personnel within
Codes A, JE, T, and S remain unchanged. For additional
