NASA Ames: April 2 – Update: Shelter-in-Place Order Extended
On March 31, Santa Clara County extended its shelter-in-place order. In compliance with this order, and consistent with the NASA Response Framework, NASA’s Ames Research Center remains at Stage 4 and on mandatory telework for ALL personnel with the exception of limited personnel required to maintain safety and security or otherwise approved by the center and agency leadership. We anticipate continuing mandatory telework through at least May 3, 2020.
Center leadership continues to make the health and safety of the Ames family our priority. Santa Clara County, and surrounding Bay Area counties, have issued this order to ensure that the maximum number of people shelter in their places of residence, to the maximum extent feasible, to slow the spread of COVID-19 and mitigate the impact on delivery of critical healthcare services to those in need.
Please continue to check for further updates on the COVID-19 InsideAmes page if you can access internal systems and ARCSOS site on the public web. For agency updates, visit NASA People.
Challenges will continue to present themselves; however, the passion of the Ames workforce is second to none, and we’ll all continue to rise to the occasion and successfully triumph in our missions.
Continue to take care of yourselves. We are all in this together.
