The NASA Academy introduces high potential college (junior/senior/1st year graduate) students with demonstrated leadership capabilities to the NASA and aerospace environment. The Academy is an immersive and integrated multidisciplinary environment which provides exposure and training for a multitude of backgrounds and career aspirations deemed to be of critical importance to the national aerospace program.

The academic curriculum balances opportunities for direct contact with advanced science and engineering R&D and an awareness of the complex managerial, political, financial, social, and human issues faced by the current and future aerospace programs. A strong focus on team building, group and individual projects, and leadership development fully immerses students into the NASA subculture and ultimately leads to a high retention rate of the students within the aerospace community.

Three NASA Academies are available through the NASA Ames Research Center, NASA Glenn Research Center and NASA Marshall Space Flight Center. Interested parties should review each program description and apply online at: http://academy.arc.nasa.gov or http://academy.arc.nasa.gov
