Stage: 11A

Week 10

ISS Status:
The unmanned Progress 10 resupply vehicle docked with the ISS yesterday
as planned. Launch of STS-114/ULF1 aboard Shuttle Atlantis, planned
for March 1, is now TBD pending results of the Columbia tragedy investigation.

Payloads currently on-board ISS:
BSTC, CGBA, CSLM-2, InSPACE, MAMS, MSG (facility), PFMI, SAMS, STES-10,
SUBSA and ZCG.

Status:
MAMS, SAMS and STES-10 continue nominal, basically unattended, operations.
BSTC, CGBA, CSLM-2, InSpace, PFMI, SUBSA and ZCG are inactive. MSG repair
is underway today.

EXPRESS RACKS 1 and 4 (ER1 & ER4) are powered and supporting payload
operations. ER2 & ER3 are currently powered down. ER3, and possibly
ER2, will be activated in the near future to continue with ARIS 3 checkout/calibration.
ER5 is available to support payload operations but is currently inactive.
ER1, ER3, ER4 and ER5 software upgrades have been accomplished. ER2 software
upgrade is planned for week 11.

MSG replacement parts have been installed and facility power will be
turned on later today. Removal of PFMI and installation of InSpace is
planned for tomorrow.
InSpace Coil assemblies were inspected Friday and were confirmed to be
ready to begin test operations Friday, 2/7. InSpace is to be installed
in the MSG tomorrow.

MAMS is operating nominally in the quasi-steady mode. HiRAP is currently
inactive. MAMS data is available on the acceleration measurement web
page.

PFMI hardware and a partially processed sample are scheduled to be removed
from the MSG and stowed tomorrow.

All SAMS sensors in EXPRESS RACKS are operating nominally. SAMS health
and status data was lost briefly today but the crew restored data flow
and it has been nominal since. The SAMS sensor in the MSG is currently
turned-off. SAMS data is also available on the acceleration measurement
web page.

STES-10 health and status data is nominal. STES-10 is configured with
diffusion-controlled chambers that require no crew operation activities.

Near-term Outlook:

Week 10 (2/3-2/9) – Planning for this week was based on approximately
24 hours of crew time availability for NASA payload operations. Progress
10 transfer operations began yesterday and will continue into next week.
MSG will be checked-out and, assuming all is well, PFMI hardware, and
a partially processed PFMI sample, will be recovered and stowed. InSpace
will be installed, checked out and test runs will be conducted.

Week 11(2/10-2/16) – Preliminary planning for this week is being
based on approximately 20 hours of crew time availability for NASA payload
operations. The crew will continue unloading Progress 10. Daily InSpace
test operations are planned. ER2 software will be upgraded and the SAMS
filter is to be cleaned.
