MRPO Daily Status Report 2-12-03
GMT Date: 043
Calendar Date: 02/12/03
Increment: 6
Stage: 11A
Week 11
Payloads currently on-board ISS:
BSTC, CGBA, CSLM-2, InSPACE, MAMS, MSG (facility), PFMI, SAMS, STES-10,
SUBSA and ZCG.
Status:
MAMS, SAMS and STES-10 continue nominal, basically unattended, operations.
BSTC, CGBA, CSLM-2, InSpace, PFMI, SUBSA and ZCG are inactive. MSG
is in a trouble-shooting mode.
EXPRESS RACKS 1, 2 and 4 (ER1, ER2 & ER4) are powered and supporting
payload operations. ER3 is currently powered down. ER2 power was turned-on
today to trouble-shoot laptop computer communications with the Rack Interface
Controller (RIC). ER5 is available to support payload operations but
is currently inactive. ER1, ER3, ER4 and ER5 software upgrades have been
accomplished. The ER2 software upgrade will occur after the laptop computer/RIC
communications problem is solved.
The MSG circuit breaker problem is continuing to be evaluated and trouble-shooting
plans are being developed. Time is being allocated for performing trouble-shooting
procedures next week.
InSpace Coil assemblies have been confirmed to be ready to begin test
operations when it is feasible to install the payload in MSG.
MAMS is operating nominally in the quasi-steady mode. HiRAP is currently
inactive. The ISS was boosted to a higher orbit today and MAMS was active
during this event. MAMS data is available on the acceleration measurement
web page.
PFMI hardware removal from the MSG is contingent upon success of MSG
trouble-shooting.
All SAMS sensors in EXPRESS RACKS are operating nominally. The SAMS
sensor in the MSG is currently turned-off. SAMS was also active today
during the re-boost of the ISS to a higher orbit. SAMS data is also available
on the acceleration measurement web page.
STES-10 health and status data is nominal. STES-10 is configured with
diffusion-controlled chambers that require no crew operation activities.
Near-term Outlook:
Week 11(2/10-2/16) – Planning for this week was based on approximately
20 hours of crew time for NASA payload operations. The crew will continue
unloading Progress 10. MSG trouble-shooting is being delayed beyond this
week. The SAMS filter is to be cleaned.
Week 12(2/17-2/23) – Preliminary planning for this week is being
based on approximately 21 hours of crew time for NASA payload operations.
Unloading Progress 10 will continue and the crew will have two PAO events.
MSG trouble-shooting is being planned several different times during
this week.
