Press release: March 08, 2001, 09:00 (Moscow time) [06:00 UTC]

The operations scheduled on OC [Orbital Complex] “Mir” for March 7 are
complete.

Currently, the OC “Mir” is in free drift, its aerodynamic deceleration
in the upper atmosphere continues.

The OC “Mir” onboard systems were checked out, orbit radio monitoring
performed.

The recent telemetry data confirmed that the complex remains pressurised,
the thermal mode is normal, the onboard systems perform norminal. Enough
electricity is generated to maintain the onboard systems operation and
measure orbit parameters.

The next status report is scheduled for March 9 2001.
