Press release: March 16, 2001, 09:00 (Moscow time) [06:00 UTC]

During the recent communication sessions a routine check out of the “Mir”
onboard systems was performed, trajectory paramatres were registered,
analysed and processed.

The cargo ship “Progress M1-5” motion control system was given a trial
run to get the complex ready for de-orbiting.

The complex remains pressurized, the thermal mode is normal. The batteries
generate enough electric power to provide onboard systems nominal
performance .

The next status report will be issued on March 17.
