Press release: March 14, 2001, 09:00 (Moscow time) [06:00 UTC]

The operation with OC [Orbital Complex] “Mir” scheduled for March 13
is complete.

During the previous day regular checkout of the OC “Mir” and the cargo
ship “Progress M1-5” onboard systems and automatic equipment was
performed with the Motion Control System on. The reported results confirm
the OC “Mir” readiness for de-orbit dynamic operations.

The complex remains pressurized, the thermal mode is normal. The batteries
generate enough electric power to provide onboard systems nominal
performance and register trajectory parametres.

The next status report will be issued on March 15.
