Memo from Randy Stone to NASA JSC Employees regarding NASA Safety and Mission Success Week
Administrator Sean O’Keefe has designated the week of November 17-21
as NASA Safety and Mission Success (S&MS) Week.
The purpose of the week is to designate a period of time in which
everyone (civil service and contractor employees) across the Agency can
engage in a dialogue on the lessons to be learned from the CAIB Report.
This is not meant to be a stand down week, instead discussions will be held
as a part of regularly scheduled meetings (e.g. staff meetings).
A Centerwide team has been formed and will be meeting over the next
week to finalize our data collection and roll-up plans. This team will also
be distributing discussion points for supervisors to use during the group
discussions.
Additional guidance will be available on the JSC Home page under the
Events button. http://www4.jsc.nasa.gov/
The R-O-Fs identified in the CAIB Report will have an impact on the
way we operate for years to come. I encourage you to take this time to
reflect on the report and to participate in these important discussions.
Cordially,
Randy Stone
