Recent Events:
Background Sequences – The spacecraft is operating nominally in performing the beta-supplement daily recording and transmission of science data. The mm205 sequence executed successfully from 02-241 (8/29/02) through 02-243 (8/31/02). The mm206 sequence has performed well since it started on 02-244 (9/01/02). It terminates on 02-247 (9/04/02). The mm207 sequence, successfully uplinked on 02-246 (9/03/02), begins executing near the end of day on 02-247 (9/04/02).
Other – Five Roll Only Targeted Observations (ROTOs) were performed successfully by the mz196 & mz197 minisequences. MGS has completed 296 ROTOs to date.
A DSN Network Simplification Project (NSP) tracking test was performed on 02-242 (8/30/02).
A Delta Differential One-Way Range (DDOR) experiment was performed on 02-246 (9/03/01). Data from DDOR experiments are helpful in calibrating the interplanetary navigation system.
Spacecraft Health:
Spacecraft subsystems report good health and status.
Uplinks:
There have been 8 uplinks to the spacecraft during the past week, including instrument command loads, the mz197 ROTO mini-sequence, and the mm206 and mm207 background sequences. 6,987 command files have been radiated to the spacecraft since launch.
Upcoming Events:
ROTOs are planned for next week in the mz198 and mz199 mini-sequences.
