Please note the unusual satellite coordinates below. These will be the same for the live transmissions, on 19 December 2003.
Today’s pre-event footage will be recorded on 18 December at ESA’s Operations Centre in Darmstadt, Germany, where ground controllers get ready for the ejection of the Beagle-2 lander by the Mars Express orbiter.
The footage will include statements by the Flight Operations Director, Michael McKay, on the status of these critical operations.
Finally, there will be a replay of yesterday’s Video News Release “Mars Eexpress ready for Arrival at Mars”.
