The early morning hours of Christmas Day 25 December 2003 will see the long-awaited arrival of Mars Express and Beagle 2 at their destination.
This Exchange in the second in a series of five feeds with pre-event background footage.
The images for today’s Exchange were shot on 6 November, at a full-scale operations simulation of the Beagle-2/Mars Express separation. An overview of events between 19 December, when Beagle-2 and Mars Express separate, and 25 December, when they arrive at Mars, is provided. The Exchange features new 3-D graphics.
This Exchange comprises of a 8 minute A-roll with split audio (English commentary/international sound) and is complimented by a B-Roll with sound bites.
