Lunar and Planetary Science Conference (LPSC) Student Travel Grants

The SETI Institute, with support from the NASA Astrobiology Institute, is funding a limited number of travel grants for undergraduate and graduate students to attend the Lunar and Planetary Science Conference, March 21-15, 2016 at The Woodlands, Texas.

Funding may be used to pay for transportation, lodging, meals, or the conference registration fee up to $600.00 per student, and will be provided via a travel reimbursement from the SETI Institute. Receipts for expenses are required.

Eligibility:

– Students can be U.S. citizens, legal residents, or foreign nationals with either a U.S. social security number or U.S. tax ID number.
– Students must be enrolled at a U.S. college or university at the time of the conference or the semester immediately following the conference (if during break).
– Selections for awards will be limited to students who are making oral or poster presentations in the conference sessions related to the search for life in the universe: astrobiology, exoplanets, planetary systems, and bioastronomy.

Applications must include proof of applicant’s affiliation with a U.S. institution. You must submit documentation (a copy of your student ID, registration confirmation, departmental letter, etc.) with your application to be eligible.

Applications must be received by the deadline of 5:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time on February 19, 2016. All applicants will be notified the following week, prior to the early registration deadline on February 28, 2016.
