Background information on the transmission:

An ESA Ministerial Council is taking place on 5-6 December in Berlin. Ministers from ESA’s 17 Member States are discussing important new space programmes, in the areas of Earth observation, planetary exploration, exploitation of the International Space Station, and European launchers.

The ESA TV Service provides a live multi-camera rebroadcast of the final press conference. Participants are:

Laurens-Jan Brinkhorst, Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs, Chairman of ESA Ministerial Council

Jean-Jacques Dordain, ESA Director General

Dietmar Wittig, Chairman of the ESA Council (tbc)

The press conference will start at the end of the Ministerial Council meeting, not earlier than 16:00 GMT, and most probably not later than 18:30 GMT. A slate will provide an update on the anticipated begin time.

The audio on the satellite carrier will be international sound (conference language is English, some German Q&A are anticipated). A voice server under +33 1 56 78 57 33 provides English language simultaneous interpretation.
