The EMU Panel convened at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2001. Topics of discussion are as follows:

1. Flight Readiness Review

1. STS-108/UF-1 (W. Frost 281-336-6303)

1. JSC MPLM Bench review status is still showing an issue with CM Bursch’s gloves




and stowage concerns.




2. Softgoods without barcodes will fly with open DRs against them, during this flight.




3. UFR fitcheck requirement waiver is at the EMU Panel and a walk on to the EEB.




4. The EV Crew Patch Kit is a walk on to the EMU Panel and EEB.




5. STS-108/UF-1 CoFR₁ is scheduled for Tuesday, October 2, 2001. A dry run of the




pitch will be presented to XA on Friday, September 28, 2001.




6. STS-108/UF-1 CoFR₂ was moved from Tuesday, October 30, 2001, to Tuesday,




October 23, 2001.




7. ILCVR Certification CCBD is at the EMU Panel and a walk on to the EEB.

2. STS-109/HST3B (S. Anderson X 39311)

1. EMU ESEL is in the signature loop.


2. ORU memo is complete with updates to the GCAR.


3. Still awaiting a delivery date from USA to modify the Croakies.


4. CM Newman still does not have a proper glove fit with either of his primes or back ups.

1. STS-110/8A (C. Donnellan X 35896)

1. EMU ESEL is in the signature loop.




2. ESEL is not correct with the latest configuration of battery logistics. Changes on the




R1 will include the batteries and the Crew Patch kit.



2. STS-111/UF-2 (A. Veloso 281-336-6308)

1. RDR/FIAR Status

1. For STS-108/UF-1, there are twenty (20) open RDRs.


2. For STS-109/HST3B, there are no open RDR.


3. For STS-110/8A, there are three (3) open RDRs.

A. There are thirty-four (34) open certification items for STS-108/UF-1.




B. There are twelve (12) open certification items for STS-109/HST3B.




C. There are four (4) open certification items for STS-110/8A.

• H7145R1 — EMU SSA In- Line Voltage Regulator (ILCVR) Certification — Approved with changes.


• H7175 — EMU SSA Boot Fit Easement — Return to the EMUP.


• 01-2.2.5D-305 — Fixing Current I-113 Housing Anodize Process — Approved with changes.


• H7179 — Universal Foot Restraint Fitcheck waiver — Approved with changes.


• H7176F — EMU Hardware Identification — Approved.
