Increment 1 Management

Accomplishments:


  • 5A launch
  • 2 Progress has undocked

    Plans:

  • Preparing Lessons Learned to pass along
    to Increment 2 and subs
  • Test run of proposed on- orbit crew
    requested manifest process resulted in
    some updates that are being worked –
    plan to present to MIOCB on 3/1
  • Update to the 5A Stage task priorities are
    in review
  • Soyuz relocation is currently scheduled for
    2/24
  • 3P launch is currently scheduled for 2/25
  • Investigating leaving additional water on
    5A for Increment 3
  • Expedition 1 crew debrief US plans are
    being prepared – limited to 20 hrs

    Issues and Concerns:

  • 5A Stage timeline is very tight
  • Debrief time with the crew is in conflict.
    Russians want Cosmonaut return after the
    doctors release them
  • Predicted Mir re- entry is same day as 5A. 1
    launch. IMMT requested Russia tr y to
    deconflict the schedule without a slip in
    5A. 1

    Increment 2 Management

    Accomplishments:

  • Completed IDRD PP2 Rev B DCN 2 TCM on
    February 7, 2001. Expect MIOCB
    concurrence 2/4/01 and SSCB baseline
    on 3/1/01.
  • Baselined 6A Manifest Priorities 2/2/01.
  • Completed 5A. 1 SORR, 2/9/01.
  • Participated in Payload Inte gration Readiness
    Review for Inc 2, 2/5/01.

    Plans:

  • Working with 7A LPM to identify cargo that
    can fit in airlock bins and make airlock
    closeout dates.
  • Working to complete Stage 5A.1 Requirements
    audit as a part of CoFR 2 Endorsement.
    ECD: 2/16/01.
  • About 40% of one radiation protection shield
    has been accommodated on 5A. 1. Working
    with other LPM’s to manifest remaining parts
    on a space- available basis.

    Issues and Concerns:

  • Sta ge 5A.1 is currently oversubscribed.
    Working with US and Russian specialists to
    determine what can be deferred to Stage 6A.
  • Threat to scheduled Increment RS Orlan
    EVA until Orlan communication issue
    resolved.
  • Evaluating 4P and 5P launch dates for
    Increment impacts (consumables, etc).
  • 4R launch date is under review.

    Increment 3 Management

    Accomplishments:

  • Completed U.S. review & TCM for IDRD
    PP3 Rev. B (12/15)
  • Conducted 1 st Expedition 3 training scrub
    (1/4)
  • Demanifested Orlan SAFERs
  • Presented IDRD PP3 Rev. A for MIOCB
    signature (1/11)

    Plans :

  • Continue work to get Energia comments for
    IDRD PP3; present to MIOCB for approval
    (2/1)
  • Update IDRD PP3 Annex 2, On- orbit
    Maintenance Plan (1/22)
  • Complete plan for combined Increment 3
    IOR/FOR

    Issues and Concerns :

  • External stowa ge location & long- term plan
    for SM MMOD shield bundle/ SPP PW
    component
  • Expedition 3 EVA requirements definition

    – DC- 1 activation vs. nominal plan

    – EMU training requirements

    – Agreement on 2 FT tether protocol

  • Consumables for single, long Increment 3
    stage combined with potential Progress
    reduction
