ISS Crew Conducts Fire Drill
Expedition 10 Commander Leroy Chiao and Flight Engineer Salizhan Sharipov
completed a busy work day filled with science, training and maintenance
aboard the International Space Station. They spent an hour of onboard
emergency training by conducting a fire drill. The U.S. and Russian Mission
Control Centers supported the drill.
On the science front, Sharipov took part in a Russian cardiovascular test,
and both crewmembers monitored the progress of autonomous investigations on
the Station.
In other activities, Chiao also supported the checkout of the Active Rack
Isolation System hardware. Sharipov replaced a filter in an atmosphere
monitoring system.
