International Space Station-Increment 2, 3, and 4 Management Status 10 Aug 2001

International Space Station-Increment 2 Management

Accomplishments:

  • Implementing on-orbit debriefing process.
    This was a crew request to insure appropriate
    subjects included debriefing comments by
    all crew members since Usachev returns to
    Moscow at L+ 10 days. Being conducted during
    crew pre-sleep time per their request.
  • Implementing new process developed for
    real-time updates to IDRD priorities. Should
    result in more timely Russian concurrences.
  • Updates to Flight 7A and Stage 7A priorities
    released for review via CHIT.
  • Updated CHIT process to allow CSA and
    Payloads to be official responder instead of
    making their inputs through IMC.
  • We will have achieved close to 100% of our
    Sta ge objectives for this stage by 7A..
  • Preliminary indications are that 80% of
    the Increment 2 science objectives will be
    Accomplished by 7A.1 (one payload failed)

    Plans:

  • Leading team developing post-flight plans
    for crew. This includes debriefings, rehab,
    medical, travel requirements, etc.
    Working to identify Russian contacts
    so that post-flight planning is a multilateral
    process. Coordination with CSA in place.

    Issues and Concerns:

  • Stage 7A will be a short stage. Working to
    ensure all requirements are identified and
    prioritized since crew will be focused on
    preparations for handover and return.



    International Space Station-Increment 3 Management

    Accomplishments:

  • Completed ISS-3 IOR (ISSP review) [6/5]
  • Supported 7A/7A. 1 launch sequence planning
  • Completed TCM for IDRD PP3 Rev. B-4
    (CR 5679) [6/29]
  • Included requirement for SSRMS use as
    contingency back-up for 7A.1 SRMS-assisted tasks
  • Received revised RSC-Energia Russian
    Russian vehicle & EVA plan [7/2]
  • Resolved BP-ECG cuff concern for ISS-3
  • Be gan “Road to 7A. 1” discussions w/ISS-2

    Plans:

  • Resolution of 5P launch date [7/16]
  • Complete certification of IM IMC team for
    Flight 7A. 1 [7/13]
  • Release integrated ISS-3 OOS [7/13]
  • Release final IDRD PP3 Increment 3-related
    CR w/updated 7A. 1 Sta ge requirements,
    revised crew time allocations, OBT, etc.
  • Complete update of IDRD PP3 Annex 2,
    On-orbit Maintenance Plan [7/19]
  • Close remaining open Inc 3 issues with
    RSC-Energia [7/13]

  • DC-1 software requirements

  • 11A crew rotation impacts on UF-1, UF-2 launch dates
