Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) is interested in responses from 8(a) contractors to determine if there are sources available with the capability to provide the following support. Provide an instructor/s for Interservice Space Fundamentals training class to include Space Environment, Orbital Mechanics, Policy, Doctrine and Law, Space Organization, Space Systems Theory & Design, Space Systems, Command Operations, Tactical Applications, Space Operations Site Activities, and Interservice Space Fundamentals Exercises. There will be approximately 12 each two-week classes (one each two week class per month) to be taught at Colorado Springs, CO and approximately 8 each one-week classes to be taught at different locations through out the continental United States. The Government would provide classrooms, audiovisual materials and office space and office equ ipment necessary to conduct classes. The instructor is expected to assist the other instructors in room set-up, packing and unpacking of materials, and administrative work associated with the class. The instructor shall possess a secret security clearance and be able to obtain a courier card to carry classified material, meet Colorado motor vehicle license requirement to take approximately 20 students on tours, possess the appropriate automobile insurance. Instructors shall have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, Physics or Space Science with a minimum of 3 years experience in the space related arena and be a graduate of a military instructor training course or a teacher certification program with a minimum of 2 years instructor podium experience. The company must have Comprehensive General Liability, Automobile, and Standard Workmen’s Compensation insurance. Responses shall be submitted by 28 February 2003 and identify number N00178-03-Q-1015. Contractors are reminded that this is a sources sought synopsis only. This synopsis should not be construed as a commitment or authorization to incur costs in anticipation of a resultant contract.
