GOES SATOPS Morning Report – February 14, 2003 

DMSP

48 30257 02 HULA-A 05:09 FAILED Not able to establish a link with site. 

47 40731 03 HULA-A 05:31 FAILED Not able to establish a link with site. 

Informed by Hula that 15/20 minutes before the failed supports there were lightning strikes that could have affected their equipment. 

All other DMSP operations were nominal over the past 24 hours. 

POES 

POES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours. 

GOES 

GOES-12 remains in a test phase, in normal on-orbit mode, drifting at an eastward rate of 0.33 degrees per day toward the GOES-East position where it will replace GOES-8 in April.  Routine SXI imaging is proceeding along with SXI test exposures. 

GOES-9 is drifting at a westward rate of 0.79 degrees per day toward 155 E longitude where it will support the GMS-5 replacement mission in April. 

GOES-10 No landmarks processed from 0128Z – 1000Z.  Only two landmarks process since 1000Z.  Reason unknown. 

All other GOES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
