How is humanity enabling space exploration? How will public-private sectors further our exploration capabilities?
Unlike in the Apollo era, the private sector now has considerable space capabilities and in the last five years, tens of billions of dollars have been invested in space programs by companies, individuals, and investment firms. Consequently, NASA is increasingly using public-private partnerships (PPPs) to enable space exploration. This panel will examine when PPPs make sense, what types of PPPs are best for exploration applications and what does the commercial market for exploration hold for the next twenty years.
