Giove, the first Galileo satellite, was developed by Surrey Satellite Systems (SSTL), a British space company specialising in micro-and mini satellites. Giove is SS”L’s first “big” mission. Today’s Exchange outlines how this company, originally a university spin-off, has become over 15 years, a player in Europe’s space industry with which one has to count.

The images were recently recorded at SSTL and include soundbites with the Chairman, Martin Sweeting, and with Giove project members.
