The first Galileo satellite will be launched later this year by Soyuz, the very launch vehicle that flawlessly put Venus Express into space, just hours ago.

The date for this launch will be announced later today at an ESA media briefing at ESTEC in the Netherlands. This TV Exchange features background footage on the first Galileo satellite.

The Exchange also unveils the name to which the satellite will be baptised, today.
