File Restoration Advisory: Amendment #17 to the SALMON-3 AO: Modifications/Revisions/Additions to the SALMON-3 AO Main Body, including Appendices A-H

On October 22, 2019, Amendment 17 released modifications/revisions/additions to the NASA Announcement of Opportunity (AO) entitled “Third Stand Alone Missions of Opportunity Notice” (SALMON-3 NNH17ZDA004O). SALMON-3 is comprised of 1) common, main body text, including Appendices A-H and 2) additional appendices that solicit separate investigations or “Missions of Opportunity” (MO).  SALMON-3’s main body provides the requirements standard for each solicitation added via amendment to SALMON-3, known as a “program element appendix” (PEA).

A corruption in the SALMON-3 AO’s amended body PDFs available on the NSPIRES page for NNH17ZDA004 hid the requirement number labels in APPENDIX B “REQUIREMENTS FOR PROPOSAL PREPARATION.” The NASA Science Mission Directorate (SMD) has removed the corrupted files and replaced with files that restore the missing number labels. The restored files again show the number labels for the Appendix B requirements that SALMON-3 imposes on proposals. Please note that no changes have been made to the text/content other than restoring the requirements numbers in Appendix B. Proposers shall not rely on any downloaded SALMON-3 AO main body files prior to the date of this email.
