Description:
The Human Research Program seeks a candidate to fill the position of Element Scientist for the Exploration Medical Capability (ExMC). The ExMC Element Scientist is responsible for leading a broad portfolio of research and operations supporting the development of medical capabilities for future human exploration missions. This position is anticipated to be filled at 80%, allowing 20% of the time for clinical work at the home institution. The Element Scientist provides technical leadership to ExMC, advocating for the science, the representation of this science within NASA, ensuring the development of health risk mitigation strategies in support of space exploration, and handling of domestic and international external interfaces ensuring the effective coordination and execution of research activities.
