    The following items were presented:

    1. Hardware Integration Schedule — XA/Barbara Counts

Changes to the schedule reflect the new launch date of 7/12/01 for STS-104 (7A).

    1. PRACA Status — NS43/Terry Miller

Twelve A total of fifteen (15) FIAR’s are open for EVA hardware and are shown by flight as follows:

    STS-100 (6A) 0

    STS-104 (7A) 62

    STS-105 (7A.1) 93

    STS-108 (UF1) 14

    STS-109 (HST) 15

Only new or major changes were reviewed as follows:

JSCEC0880 — Top-Mounted and Side-Mounted WIF’s. Top-Mounted WIF’s — Anodized surface is tacky and paint is flaking off. WIF’s were fabricated by EM in April and hardware was inspected at that time for acceptance, which was rejected and returned, for rework. Hardware was recently returned for acceptance inspection with the same problems. Side-Mounted WIF’s — Anodized surface is tacky.

EC5/Kim Hostetler to have interim closure at 6/18/01 Tools Panel and final closure date.

No FIAR’s are open for STS-100.

    STS-104 (7A) FIAR’s were statused as follows:

JSCEC0839 — REBA Charger. REBA failed to show green LED during acceptance testing.

EC5/ Hiep Nguyen will be going to the contractor (Summit) 5/4/01.

JSCEC0863F — Modular Gimbal Assy. End effector is sticking/not closing (STS-98 anomaly).

EC5/Roger Schwarz reported that he is getting more information from Oceaneering. There may be a "broke" in configuration control. Getting story.

BFCE026A024 — High Strength Bridge Clamp. Unlock push button will not extend.

EC5/Roger Schwarz reported the hardware is going through vibe testing this week.

    STS-105 (7A.1) FIAR’s were statused as follows:

BFCE029F105 — Pistol Grip Tool (PGT). PGT Chatter.

EC5/Roger Schwarz reported this FIAR is still unexplained. The PGT will be shipped for MPLM Bench Review the end of the month. Interims will be written within the next 2 weeks. Hardware is to be left on-orbit.

The Chairman requested a note be added to the status to show dates interims are needed, shipping on open DR, etc.

The oldest FIAR, against the Adaptive Payload Carrier, is 589 645 days old.

    1. Certification Status — NS22/Greg Wright

There were no updates to the Certification Status. A status on the hydrazine open certification will be presented to the 6/18/01 Tools Panel.

    1. EMU RDR and Certification Status — NC512/Charles Sager

EMU RDR’s open by flight are as follows:

    STS-104 (7A) 1

    STS-105 (7A.1) 7

    STS-108 (UF1) 18

One new RDR was opened for STS-104 (7A). USA will generate a FIAR or DR to change the tracking number to USA and will have closure rationale for next week’s EHB.

There are four open certification items for STS-104 (7A). Paperwork on the EMU Middeck Battery Charger is with CTSD. Paperwork is being updated on the Protective Pouches and Protective Sizing Kit Cover. There is no open certification for STS-105 (7A.1). There are two open certification items for STS-108 (UF1). Athletic Support Assembly cert is pending crew input (Athletic Support Assembly vs. MAG’s).

    1. On-Orbit Limited Life Status — NA/Rod TolerRod Toler

The On-Orbit Limited Life Statusis to be presented the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month was deferred to the next regularly scheduled presentation on the 4th Wednesday. Copies of the presentation were distributed for EHB review.

    1. USA Limited Life Status — USA/Nancy Jeanne Neason
    2. The USA Limited Life Status was deferred to the next regularly scheduled presentation on the 4th Wednesday. Copies of the presentation were distributed for EHB review.

    3. Funds Transfer Status — XA/Janice Hall

Additional funding for Sustaining Engineering ($600K) was transferred to EC on 6/12/01.

    1. EMU Rotation Plan (H7130) — HSWL/Donna Ray

Revisions to the EMU Rotation Plan will be presented the last Wednesday of the month.

Revisions to the USA SAFER Flight Logistics Plan will be presented the last Wednesday of the month.

    1. IFA Status — XA/Dale Roberts

IFA’s were reviewed and statused as follows:

STS-92-7 — PGT Chatter FIAR. USA/Scott Gorrell presented an updated status on the PGT Chatter FIAR as follows:

    • PGT S/N 1003 has been sent to Swales to undergo 1G ambient testing similar to the testing performed on PGT S/N 1005 to reproduce the anomaly.

    • Thermal, vacuum, and EMI testing will not be performed at this tie.

    • Thermal, vacuum, and EMI testing have been performed as a part of the PDA.

    • Subsequent use of the PGT during the EVA would indicate that these factors were not the cause of the anomaly.

Testing should be complete by Friday, 6/15/01. Three to 4 weeks will be required if refurbishment is needed. Test results will be E-mailed to XA/Dale Roberts.

    1. EHB Actions Status — XA/Dale Roberts
    2. This item was deferred.

    3. H7150 — FEMU-R-001 Updates to Include Bladder Crease Inspection — ILC/Mike Pantaleano
    4. This CCBD requests updating the FEMU-R-001 to screen for creasing of the glove bladder after wrist disconnect flange assembly. This is corrective action for RDR 1-EMU-106-011.

      Decision: Approve.

    5. H7158 — FEMU-R-001 Corrections and Updates — HSMS/Colin Campbell

This CCBD requests updating the FEMU-R-001 to correct typographical errors and incorrect specification references that do not comply with the PLSS/SAD. In addition, this CCBD provides FEMU-R-001 changes that are needed to address processing for 7A.1 (helmet fitcheck) and improve hardware processing. It further revises ground usage of the CCC to prevent usage beyond capacity. It will also incorporate additional requirements into FEMU-R-001 to make it comply with various PLSS S/AD test notes.

Decision: Hold pending decision of the Manager, EVA Project Office, on the CCC chamber reuse.

No further items were brought forward, and the EHB adjourned.
