Money for office moves is available from Code 200. The amount of award money available for Code 400 has been reduced.

Aqua X-band data flow will start on May 11th.

Discussion of ESMOS Top Ten Issues

#1 — FY03 budget —SOMO backing out of funding networks, institutional support and technology programs. Revamp programs. Cover increased security costs: Working budget issues with CSOC; the 14th rework is now in progress.

#2 — Getting a contract in place to provide anomaly support from LMMS, SBRS, and L3COM: L3COM is resolved; still working on LMMS and Santa Barbara.

#3 —NISN/Code M line cost threat: Still being worked.

#4 — End of Mission planning for ERBS and UARS: Still being worked; ERBS presentation needs to be made to Headquarters. ERBS is a complicated negotiation. We need to provide an estimated time of reentry for all Code Y missions.

#5 — USGS has not provided money to cover FY02 Landsat-7 network costs. NASA has not budgeted for this cost: The Inter Agency agreement pr‚ŽÚ#ing funds for network service was received; funding appears to be about a month and a half away.

#6 — Problem reprocessing ASTER data: Plans are underway for an ASTER direct downlink site in Vietnam.

#7 — System vulnerabilities: Issues are being worked.

#8 — Space in Building 3/14 for EDOS development facility: Alan is leading the effort to prepare the space in Building 3/14 for EDOS sustaining engineering system.

#9 — Aqua Transition: No update.

#10 — DSMC transition NCC and WOTIS operations are moving to WSC during 2002: The rhost feature was widely used in DSMC; the security scan showed a high level of vulnerability. There is a high cost to correct the problem and approximately 3 months may be required.
